Dry Low NOx (DLN) Combustors designed to meet today's stringent emissions regulations must operate at very lean fuel-to-air ratios in order to meet single digit NOx limits. Operation at fuel/air ratios close to the lean flammability limit make DLN combustors prone to dynamic pressure oscillations that can lead to accelerated wear and mechanical distress, flashback of the flame into the premixer, or lean blow out trips. Regular tuning of these systems is required to ensure compliance with emission regulations and long term component integrity.
TTS' CMS-1000 CDMS is specifically tailored for measuring dynamic pressure pulsations in gas turbine DLN applications. Hardware configuration and setup are simple, and the software is user-friendly and provides data in formats that DLN tuners and operators need to easily optimize DLN operation. This system can be provided in two configurations:
| CDMS Portable System: |
- Economical option for operators with multi-unit tuning requirements
- Compact, rugged, simple to assemble
- Data acquisition hardware, piezoelectric sensors, dampening coils, and purge valves are neatly integrated into two aluminum, diamond-plate tuning boxes
- Easy-to-use software
- Ethernet-based communication between system components simplifies system interconnection and setup
- Automatic scaling of output to compensate for length of pressure sensing lines
- Display screens and data logging features designed to simplify manual tuning
- Can be configured for remote tuning applications
- System can handle up to 18 channels

 |
| CDMS Permanently Installed System: |
- Ideal for operators interested in continuous dynamic monitoring to optimize
- DLN operation throughout the combustor maintenance cycle and in response to seasonal variations
- High Temperature Sensor option for most accurate amplitude resolution; no purging of sensing lines required
- Low Temperature Sensor option with automatic purge system - more economical alternative
- User-specified alarm capability to alert operators to potentially harmful dynamic amplitude levels
- Data import/export options to merge and correlate dynamics with turbine operating parameters and emissions data built-in historical logging and trending features to simplify troubleshooting
- Can be configured for remote monitoring and tuning applications
